Please anyone tell me what should I do about the coral that came off the live rock even though there's some stick to the live rock. It's a spaghetti soft coral. Thanks so much.

just wedge it back in the rock, it will resecure itself, and the other piece that is stuck on the rock will grow another one

I can't believe it. The whole thing came off when I went back to see it. So I have to put the whole thing back on the rock somehow. Let's pray that it'll grow onto the new rock because the original rock is small and it's impossible to try to put the coral onto that rock. Luckily I found the new rock that has slant so it'll hold the coral while it's standing onto the new rock. Do you think it'll work????????????/ I just gave it the plankton thing. AHH!!
Michelle p.s. (Thanks so much for helping me)

So far the coral seemed to be ok but it is starting to "wrinkle". Is that normal? Hope so!

Leathers are tough. They can shrivle up when annoyed, but he should be fine and attached in a day or two.

I do want to enquire after the tank parameters though - I am wondering why it broke away...if it is unhealthy it will not necessarily reattach, so we do need to just check into that.
Tank age, filtration, specific water parameters, lighting and flow. How long have you had this coral? What other corals do you have?

I purchased this coral the same dayand the live rock was broken in half when I tried to put it in the tank. I was so pissed off but coral managed to stay in. Unfortunately it started to come off. That's why. All of my other corals are excellent and no problem so far.
Thanks

GUESS WHAT! The coral is attached to a new live rock now. It's good but it's still "flat" so I'm waiting for it to come back alive and stand tall. :) Thank you guys so much! You saved my coral's life.
