Coral eating slugs

I bought a nice clove polyp coral about a month ago that seemed fine at the time. The coral lost its polyps since then. Today I took it out and examined it and found a bunch of greyish slugs all over the coral. I gave the coral a freshwater dip and plucked out all the slugs(I think). What else can I do? Can this type of coral come back? There arent any polyps on the coral just the stems.

lots of difference nudibranchs eat corals and ive seen some on clove polyps before i had a lil frag once with the same ones u mentioned they ate them up and no more....
watch out the lay eggs but a fresh water dip would kill the adults i dont know if they would still be alive now if u dont see any polyps give it some time

Thanks for the reply. When I put the coral back I noticed the FW dip didnt get them all. Some tried to move to other rocks and I got them out. Im going to give the coral time to see if it will come back. Thanks again.
