coral help!!!

im thinking about investing in some corals for my tank..few simple green hairy/mushrooms...what do they eat..do i need to add trace elements, or are pellets and the inhabitants in my tank enough (80 gal, a blue tang, couple percs, and 80 lb of live rock)...thanks in advance!! please help quick!!!

i have 2 55 w white and 1 blue...reading up on those 2 corals, it dosent require the normal bright light..yet im wondering what you guys give em to promote healthy growth...ive seen a few supplements..are they neccessary, or not?

For shrooms, any supplements you need you will replenish during water changes. I have shrooms in my tank that came in as a hitch-hiker on my live rock, and I have never gave them anything special as far as food. I was adding Invertabrate Smorgasbord for my anemone though, maybe they were stealing from that.

I don't know because I always just trusted that the salt supplied it. The only one I do know about, which is Iodine, has a fine line between enough and to much, which is lethal (and test kits for it are somewhat inaccurate). So you definately wouldn't want to add that one!

well supposedly if you do regular water changes with a salt meant for reefs like reef crystals it will replenish the trace elements and all esential stuff for the water................so says the bag............lol
but thats my $.02
