Coral help

What do i need to buy before i buy my first coral besides the lite. And is it ok to get a hammer sickle i think it was ? All parameters r ok but i dont have a cal. test kit etc.

Hammer sickle LOL Its best to get a test kit and understand water chemestry first.

coral depends on your light, some coral do not require alot of light, for instance green star polyps do not require alot of light, but a hammer does. now tell us what kind of lights you are going to buy and we will tell you the easiest, best coral to buy from our experience.

That lighting is fine for a hammer coral. Hammer coral was a COTW a while back. If you do a search on this site you using keyword "hammer" that will give you a lot of info on what it takes to successfully keep one. Good luck you'll love it. Just make sure your tank is ready for it. Here is mine.....
