Coral ID please. Got these from a friend

He swears they are alive. I have had them for 5 days now and I see nothing alive about them. They look like dead open brains to me.

I would give it some time a friend of mine had a tank crash and everything died but he took some of the bleached out dead looking corals and used them in his new set up as base rock and after a long period of time a couple came back to life.
One was an open brain it just slowly started to get some color back at first he thought it was something else using the skeleton but it eventually made a complete recovery

I'm going to agree with everyone that they do in fact look like dead open brains.

Well I put them in my 90 gallon with 440W of VHO. I'll give them time to see if something will come of them. And yes, they were free.
