hmmmm
that's what i was thinking, but it just didn't seem like a colt coral that i've ever seen before.

I forgot the scientific name, but they are refered to as Kenya Tree corals. They are closely related to colt corals.

I would agree on the Kenya Tree. Mine recently had "babies"- lost all but one of it's branches. The branches that were shed attached themselves to various places around my tank. Picked them up and threw them in a cup with rubble. They're about ready to be placed now!!!
The first pic is my frag cup. Second pic is of the "mother" (front right) with one of the frags on a shell. Just turned the lights on, so they are not as perky as normal.

i was checking out prices on Kenya Tree corals, and they seem to be expensive. I got mine that are pictured in the first post for only $15. How much did you pay for yours scubatiffy?

paid 5 for mine. 4 months ago it was like the fist pic and today its like the second.
IMO a very nice coral and very easy to frag

I've had mine a while- I think I paid around $20 for it- it was a small frag then. Seems to grow pretty fast- similar to my colt.
