Anybody can give me a Genus here?
These guys are some kinda star polyp - I think:

These guys either Zoa or Paly ( I'm still not sure on the difference.) Not the prettiest guys, IMO, but it was a twofer.

Sorry on the focus - still figuring the camera out...
I got care and feeding instructions from LFS, just not ID.
Thx,
Emil
P.S. Bubble algae being taken care of by my Emerald.

1st picture
Could beAnthelia sp.. could be Clavularia sp. There is yet another sp. called Pachyclavularia sp..
2nd picture
Palythoa grandis
would be my guess.

The polyps deflate at night. They don't retract like GSP or Common Stars do. They also seem to be a communal species, as opposed to connected to the same tissue like GSP - more like yellow polyps - live together but not interconnected, if you know what I mean.
I kinda thought the others were Paly's, not Zoa's, and they're coloring up under my lighting. Should be interesting.
I like getting what the average customer would ignore as crap rock at LFS. Always yields interesting stuff.
Thanks, and thx as well on the Gorgonian ID on the colorful pics thread. It led me to a great coral ID site (which happens to have neither of these guys...)
Gorgs still scare me, but I'll get there

Regs,
Emil

Don't be afraid of the photosynthetics at all. Just need to ensure they have some good flow going over them as they tend to shed like a leather coral does.

My 55g FW tank and it is a bala shark

Bala sharks reach one foot in length. Technically they aren't sharks but characins. You will need to upgrade your tank for him, he won't have a lot of swimming room.
I can't believe it , but I actually know something about freshwater fish!
