Coral ID

Is this a coral growing on my live rock?
If so--should I be supplementing w/anything. Tank is 7 weeks old. Just have snails, hermit crabs, 1 clown and a cleaner shrimp. Am leaving antinic lights on 1 hr before 4-65 watt 10000k that I leave on for 11 hours---and then antinic for another hour.

are you referring to the brownish areas?
If so - it looks to be diatoms... a natural part of any new tank.
If you have a turkey baster, you can blow them off the rocks.
If it doesn't blow off - come back and let us know...

I don't see anything that looks like coral .... if you're referring to the white crusty looking stuff, it could be dead coralline or encrusting sponge.

Tried turkey baster--it's the brown to the left--looks mushroomy to me. It did not come off during baste.

yeah - tough call... I wouldn't say it was a shroom.. But I could be wrong.
I guess diatoms that are holding tight...
