I bought a rock full of zoas about 2 months ago and when I got it it appeared to have a dead skeleton on it. Slowly it has been coming back to life and today this is a picture of it. What is it? And how should I care for it?

Favia - give it a lot of light to help it's color, med-low flow. They will take meaty food like mysis, krill, etc., but feeding isn't necessary.

you need to remove it from the zoanthids rock. they will over run and kill it in no time at all. just take a hammer and chisle and break that half off.
and yes it is from the favia family. or moon rock as many call them

Thanks
Do they need a lot of light? I don't have much so where should I place it? I was planning on moving it from the zoa rock anyways since it is in the back of it. I want to be able to enjoy it!
