Coral, is it DECOR?

I find positives in all dogs... I have a cockapoo... she's sitting right next to me right now... best dog ever. BUT, I also love pitbulls... just all dogs. I have always had a love for animals. In fact, I volunteer at a local animal rescue during the weekends...

People shouldn't just buy a coral because it's pleasing to the eye. New Hobbyists have to know that a coral is not just a piece of decor, but a living, breathing, eating, defending animal that will die if not taken care of, and a corals death shouldn't be taken lightly because of the conditions of the worlds reefs today.
I love long hair chihuahuas. I don't think I'll ever have another type of dog in my life. Abby, my old dog, just found a way into my heart. :D
I agree with this FULL HEATEDLY! This is the key to all of this! I am glad you stated it, as I missed this fact!
Chihuahuas are annoying and yap too much........... I see why "YOU" like them.
Hah. So, I guess it's settled then?
Abby was my little door bell. :D They don't bark/yap nearly as much as you think they do. I was able to beat it out of her.

From the beginning, I've kind of stated that corals are living decorations, NOT JUST decorations. You have to feed it, provide the proper conditions for it, etc. as you would a live animal, but they happen to be ornamental, and pleasing to the eye.

You say what I have been saying from the beginning and I don't win? Its a decoration, but not DECOR, an abbreviated version of DECORation?

Waffle house tonight! I'm really excited!!! :D YUM!
uggh YUCK been there done that for years LOL
anyway corals and decor. I can see that because you can not pick them up and pet them and all but at the same time we do in general like to show them off frag * breed* and spread the gorgeous ones out. we talk other people into getting into what we do and love to show off pictures.
I bet anyone with a Saltwater tank has atleast 100 pictures of there tank and inhabitants. can we say that about most other things in our life?
so yeah they are decor but pets at the same time I think they float back and forth. to someone that does not get it its decor. For someone that is a real reefer then they are our pets and we will do anything to keep them happy and health,.
just my take on it LOL

Here is my take on it.
The coral is the stage a living stage , everything has to suit the stage whether it be the actors or the atmosphere(water conditions). You must nurture it. No matter what you must keep everything to the there liking. This background shall reward you if you do the most you can for it.The more you care for it the bigger the reward they give you. If you contribute very little to there happiness they contribute very little to your happiness and cause grief. Yet even when you try more than is possible sometimes this stage cannot handle being turned from a stage where things easy and natural to a tank in which things are strange and unknown.

Here is my take on it.
The coral is the stage (Stage= Setting= Backdrop or better know as the scene or decorations or decor) a living (cause its coral, a living organism) stage , everything has to suit the stage whether it be the actors (Fish and inverts) or the atmosphere(water conditions, but also LR, Sand, and corals). You must nurture it (as it is living). No matter what you must keep everything to the there liking (As they have specific requirements being alive). This background shall reward you if you do the most you can for it.The more you care for it the bigger the reward they give you (redundant from the 2 last sentences). If you contribute very little to there happiness they contribute very little to your happiness and cause grief (the way of the living...... or better known as marriage...
). Yet even when you try more than is possible sometimes this stage cannot handle being turned from a stage where things easy and natural to a tank in which things are strange and unknown (Now I understand, Corals are decor..... a living (I'll give you it BTL) decor, but coral are just a piece of the puzzle in our grand scheme of making our tanks. I hope I gave your analogy justice... if not, please re-do it?)
It was cute when the 10 year old came up with his analogy the first time, this time you sound like one of MY incoherent rambles, at least to me
, to keep up with the relevance of the "coral, a decor?" question. I'm going to try to break it down to understand it a little better and help me if I am wrong RG.
