I don't want to put it near a window. I want it to look good and its going to be more organized. Im going to feed the shrimp fresh veggies and algae warfs. Same with the snails.

Just a water bottle and i drilled a hole in the cap and stuck the tub into the cap then i siliconed around the tubing when i stuck it in the cap then just wait for it to dry up then add your recipe into the bottle and get a air stone and put it at the end of the tubing and then put the air stone in the tank then your done.

oh that granite chunk rock you have in there is probably going to cause you some serious problems, as nice as it looks, granite leaches arsenic into water. while ity may not affect the plants it may have a serious impact on your bacteria and inverts.

I was concerned about that too.

its the sulfides in the granite (sulphidic schist) that leach arsenic. short term the damage would probably be negligable but long term, who knows.

the schist is part of the rock boiling it wont do anything to change the chemical makeup of the rock. all boiling will do is kill organics on the rock.
