Just got mine set up (H.O.B.)
Bubbles every where (in my tank) :notsure:
No foam or anything in the cone.
Is this what they are referring to in the directions saying that it takes 2 - 3 days to break in?
I have a 55g (CSS220, I hope to upsize my tank) and it has been set up for about a year. I've been using only a skilter filter since now.
:help:

they mean it takes 2-3 days to break in ( stop producing the micro bubbles, start producing the foam extract form the tank)

Ok, so 48 hours lots of microbubbles still.
But still no foam in the collection cup!
Lots a bubbles but it seams like all the bubbles are going out the outlet and not up into the collection cup!

I had mine set up in three days. I had bubbles in the main chamber and very little on the collection cup. Make sure that the water level is 1/2 inch up into the top cone. The instructions say the water level should be lower than they should but I think that is wrong. You'll never get foam that way.
Slowly adjust the red dial on the return pipe. Open up the level on the feed tube to full vertical (open) coming off the venturi pump.

Also make sure that the intake pump is only 3 inches max into the tank. I didn't realize that I should cut the tubing that came with my pump when I first set it up. As soon as I cut the intake tubing, and also the tubing that goes into the bubble diffuser, I started to get a nice amount of foam.
Forgot to mention that in order to cut back on the micro-bubbles, it is key that the output tube be only a half-inch into the bubble diffuser, also that the rim of the BD is about a 1/4 inch from the water surface.
Hope that helps
