Coral lighting

I just bought a fox coral for my tank and was wondering how often i should leave my light on. its at the very top and i have 2 T8 18 watt lights shining right on it

what size tank do you have this in?
I would keep the lights on a timer, and have them on 9-12 hours per day.

its a 29 gal tank and the coral is high up and right next to the light
