coral or sand

is crushed coral better than sand or the other way around i have crushed coral in my new 55 gal. been running for about two months now.....

Sand all the way as the other menbers said.Because left over food and other stuff can get in the crushed coral where the fish cant eat it.And after a while it can cause nitrate problems and other problems.
