Coral Panic

I did my first 20% water change today and my coral hasn't opened up since!! My coral opens up as soon as I turn the lights on every day and is never closed up... it's been 2 hours and I'm starting to panic.
I had the water change mix mixing for 3 days, it had the same temp and 1.026 SG (tank is at 1.024 1/2 but wanted to move it up slowly).
I panic easy but this poor thing is never closed! Anything I can do to help it?

Oh I hope so.. but everything in my tank is now not moving! I have no featherdusters in my rocks... no crabs are moving, 2 dead snails. I don't see a copepod or anything moving, it's like my entire tank is dead all of a sudden.
My large featherduster is still out but that's it.

Most likely everything in your tank is just scared, almost like a storm hit so everything goes into hiding and will slowly come out again once they realize it is safe.
Also I would try to raise SG slower than you did.

I think the SG change was the key to a slow return....also...how quick was the water change....?
Sometimes too much too quick is stress city. Water from RO? Treated?
Also....any change in Ammonia levels?

ALSO...sorry....but next time anyone does a water change....test the water you are putting in....you might be surprised at what you find.

I'm curious how long the tank has been established since this is your first water change of that amount. If the tank has not been established long enough, that could be part of the problems. Tanks ususally require being established for a little longer before you are ready for corals. I have also heard that when there are problems with your water that the invertabrates are the first things to start going. Anyone else?
