Coral picking flame angel

My latest addition to my reef has been a flame angel. A gorgeous and wonderful addition to my reef. Until it started picking on my blue/green welsyphilia brain(my favorite coral). I knew it was a hit or miss with this fish but I didn't think it would pick at my brain. I've tried moving it several times but it seeks it out. Any advise before I trade the brain to the lfs? Is there any chance it will grow tired of picking since there is no nourishment from bothering the brain? If the lfs doesn't take trades I will be giving it away to someone on the board.

try putting a piece of algae on a lettuce clip for the angel to feed on. this works for me. mine doesn't touch the corals as long as he has his algea sheet in there.

I think is was seaweed selects. comes in little pressed sheets 4" x 6", I cut that into 2 x 2' squares and stick it in the clip.

I think the one they like is the red algae, it has a picture of the flame in the box, really doesnt matter what you get, but another thing, try to soak it in garlic before putting in the tank.

thanks everyone, just tried to move it again. trying to get it closer to the top with a powerhead protecting it. I'm really upset about this whole thing. The poor brain is defensless.

I buy nori at the grocery store, the stuff you wrap sushi in. Lot's cheaper than seaweed selects at the lfs. Also, I found that floating it instead of clipping it keeps my sixline wrasse, yellow tang and coral beauty busy chasing and nipping at it. They love it and stay away from picking at the rockwork, polups etc that way. I know a flame is a little different but try the nori or seaweed selects before you take anything back. Hope it works for you and you get to keep it all.
