Ok so in the 101 tips at the top of this forum it says to qt everything, so I'm assuming that means corals as well...
What equipment do I need for that qt tank?
Do I need a filter if there is no bioload?
How long do I have to qt?

Three weeks is the QT time. You do not have to have a filter, but if it is a coral that you feed everyday, then it would help remove the uneaten food. A lot more can come in on a coral than fish parasites.
