coral question

if you buy a coral from a store and it was under MH lighting then you put it under PC will it look liek crap for along time?
i justg ot my 400 watt halide kit in today and ill have it up by tomm. but i think this was my biggest problem along the way was that i was brining soft corals home that where under halides then putting them under PC and they just werent happy. Its kind of like driving a bentley then going and getting a honda

No it wont last for long, it takes a few days week max for the coral to get used the new light and unless your trying to put a very strong light dependent organism like a clam they should do ok if the amount of light is appropriate for the species.

o.k thanks for the reply, im just worried caus ei got about 7 nerw pieces three days ago and they have been under PC's but tommorrow im adding my MH lighting so i hope they dont go whacky! althought omm. i will only be leaving my MH light son for about an hour to accliate my corals to them
