Coral w/LR ?

I know that we need to cure LR. What about the LR that the corals come on? The mushrooms that I got this weekend had a strong smell similar to the uncured rock smell. The lfs just got these guys in a day prior to me getting them. What is everyone's opinion here about that?.?.?

I am not sure but wouldn't the LR have to already be cured in order for the coral to grow on it?

if your shrooms are alive i would not worry to much about the rock they are on, you probally are just smelling the slime from them being irratated. corals are shipped to a lfs in water wich minamizes the die-off. putting a 1lb piece of lr into a tank say with 100lbs shouldnt have that much affect. (jmo)

But there could still be die-off from during the shipping.

Thanks for the thoughts and replies. I have never heard any ill effects with adding corals attached to LR, but I thought I would ask.
