coralife 48" (260W of light)

I have the corallife 2X250W MH with 2X96W actinics
if yours is like mine then you will have no problems.
Can you explain yours a bit more if it isn't the same

it has four bulbs. i have 8 feet of tank so i use two of these setups.
two of the bulbs in one are day lights, and the others are the blues. i dont know the exact names of them. i dont want to get them out to look ha

i might be adding 3 more 65Watt pcs and two 39 t5s on one side of the tank.
would i be able to put some clams at the top of the tanks with this lighting?

I think a bit more info might be needed...Your profile says 150 gallon, but you mention an 8 foot tank? I have Coralife PC Retros on my 240 gallon 8 foot setup, I have 2 four footers which equals 520 watts, I also have 160 watts worth of T5 retro in there.....
No clams...my fish eat clams.

oh i see.. i was thinking i could maybe jam pack one side of the tank with lights cuz my lfs has a bunch of used lights. just no metal halides :(

He has the same light I have/had (getting my new system today, yeah). It is a Current USA Orbit 4x65w (2 x SunPaq Dual Daylight 6700°K/10000°K and 2 x SunPaq Dual Actinic 420/460nm) for a total or 260w. The light is 48" so he has 2 of these system spanning his 8' tank. That being said I am not even going to guess at what you can keep in there, as I am not even close to a novice in that area, that is why I come here!
