Are the mounting legs adjustable, if I bought a 24" light would it fit a 30" or 20" aquarium?

Yes, they are adjustable. They will fit on the 20 inch but not on a 30 inch. They stretch to about 28 inches max.

the legs are adjustable. but only for a smaller tank. example 36' fixture on 24' tank. a 20' fixtute may work on 24' tank but defintally noat much bigger. my 29 gal. is 30' and fixture is 28' and it works fine. i have dual 65watt coralife with legs.
