Coralife Pure-Flo II Question

Does any have the Coralife Pure-Flo II? I just purchased one from this web site and hooked it up, everything basicall all ready came hooked up. Now I have water runnig thru it, but my bad water is putting out twice as much as the RO. My first one was 2 1/2 gallons of RO and 6 Gallons of Bad water. Can some one help? is there something I am doing wrong

ALso I lost my Achilles Tang, a friend was taking car of my tank and did not tell me my Achilles Tang died until I got back and now my blue hippo has ich and black ich, SO I took all of my fish out and put them in the QT tank, 2 percs, 1 yellow tang, 1 blue hippo. The only fish I left in the Tank was my Mandarin Dragonet. I hate leaving my tank to someone who has no clue.

that waste water to pure water ratio is the only thing that keeps me from buying an RO unit..that ends up being a lot of water waste

I have mine hooked up in my laundry room and use the waste water to wash clothes with.....I have the same unit ...pure floII 50 gpd ro/di

Hey Joncat24
How do you use it to wash clothes, mine is hooked up right behind my washer and dryer also. and was yours a RO/DI. Mine is just a RO

whenever I have it running I run the drain line into the washer tub to fill it up then i stick it back in the washer drain. At least I get to use some of it.
And yes mine is the ro/di. You can add the di cartridge the the one you have for like $30

You can also run it in a bucket,thats what i do.And use it for cleaning and washing car, or run it in the washer,i do that also.U will be surprise where and what u can use it for.many uses.But the main thing is your fish will love you for it.I felt better when getting mine,just because of the fish.

I have the pure flo II also. I am not sure about the DI thing. what does that mean? RO/DI ??? I love the unit. makes water changes convenient. I also use my discard water for othe things. ***)

You all have gave me some good Ideas, the first one was the laundry one, I did this and it worked, and as soon as spring hits i will use it to wash my car.
Joncat thanks for the tip I will add a DI unit soon.

It is an extra step in insuring your water is completly pure the RO is Reverse Osmosis and the DI is De-Ionizing wich gives yo more of a pure form of water.
