Coralife Pure-Flo II RO Units - any good ?

Coralife Pure-Flo II RO Units - Are they are good? They are on the less expensive side, but people are giving them good product reviews, and they are about $100 less than most other systems.
I was thinking of getting the 4-stage 50gpd unit in particular. I already have an API tap water filter though, can I just use that at the end and get the 3-stage?
Thanks!

I used the 3 stage 24 gpd model and I liked it, just a little slow. I don't have any experience with the api filter but I hear it's garbage. You wont need it with the pure flo.

Thanks for the info! I am not too concerned with the speed of the unit, as I do water changes once a week so as long as I can have 10-15 gallons by the end of each week that is all I really need

There are definitely better units that are cheaper like the one mentioned.

I just checked that one out, thanks, now I do not know which one to get!

Both that unit and the coralife unit are about the same price, however, the one you mentioned goes into detail about the quality of the filter media/membranes so I am stuck on which one is better for the same price.

I owned the coralife a few years ago.....If it were me I would get the BFS 161 from buckeye field supply. Or the bulk reef supply unit. The one from buckeye field supply comes with some nice features on it, like a pressure gage and a handheld tds meter. The handheld units are nice being portable and a little more accurate than the inline meters.
I think it is the best for the money available. But either one is better than the coralife.
