Coralife Super Skimmer Overflowing

Every time I do a water top off, my CSS 125 collection cup fills up and overflows.

I've resorted to turning the dial all the way down before I do a top off and then readjusting it up. Does anyone else have this problem or have any idea for a solution?

Mine is in my sump and I can dump FW right into the pump and it doesn't overflow. It is probably because when you add the FW it does not bubble as much as SW so there is more water than air in the skimmer, causing it to overflow with water. I know this sounds confusing, but I hope it helps.

That does make sense. Mines in the sump also. When I add FW I add it to the sump area so Im not shooting FW right into the return.
I'll try it in the return pump side next time.
