Any of you guys have trouble keeping the bubble diffuser from overflowing?
It will work great for about 2 days then overflow. I have shortened the hose feeding it and don't matter. I have come to realize that the sponge is acting like a filter and getting clogged. But I wouldn't think my system would be that dirty, sure don't look like it. Anyone else have a solution?

My css220 does the same thing but I have it in my sump/refugium return side so I don't care.

I never once used the bubble disfuser.
I found that the skimmer itself works better if you replace the return hose with 1" PVC and have the return under the water line. You'll have to adjust the skimmer again, but it works better.

My gf and I have two different tanks and hers is a year old and established while mine is 3months old and growing.
Her Corallife skimmer (65gal) is ok for a bit then all of a sudden will fill with water for no reason.
Mine on the other hand works fine with LOTS of dark green matter and bubbles in the top chamber.

I have Coralife SS 65 I had same problem when i got mine I tried every posibble way but nothing helped It was keep overflowing. After couple days it stopped overflowing by itself. It has been a month now it didnt overflow again. What i read about it was if your tank never had skimmer before it can happen. Second if you use any chemical in your tank skimmer may react for it. Last thing is Coralife skimmer is really sensitive about adjustment It has to set up corectly. I had to play around with red valve alot to set up properly. But its very good skimmer for that price.
Good luck

Out of 5 coralife super skimmers form the 65 to the 220 that I have up and in use, I do not have one bubble diffuser box in use on them. Some are sump mounted others are hob. I use foam sleeve from mag drive pumps and keep my outlet tube above water level

Yeah, my bubble diffuser only lasts about 2 days before clogging up and overflowing as well. I just leave it and let it overflow since it doesn't let any microbubbles in the tank.
