Hey did anybody have a problem w/ excess bubbles coming from the bubble disfuser?? It seems to come after feeding. I had to turn off my skimmer. Any ideas!!

The bubble difuser (bottom of it) is suppose to be 1/4" above the water line I believe. How deep does the hose going into the box extend below or into the sponge?

you know what i think my water level is getting low. that what i kinda figured. Just wierd it started after i feed.

that happens to me to. its normal. whenever you add anything to the tank, the skimmer goes crazy for a little while but then it will go back to normal. just today my ss went crazy after i unpluged two powerheads

hmm are u talkin about the skimmer part or the bubble diffuser?? Cuase the my tank will fill up w/ tones of little bubbles and that cant be good for the fish.

I have a CSS 125.. i had the same problem... I took a floss filter bag.. and i put it above the white filter in the bubble diffuser.. and it makes more of a trap before the bubbles get in the tank...
Now the only problem i have with it is that the water overflows in the bubble diffuser...

I'm planning my ss to hang on my sump and am not going to use the bubble diffuser box. But what about drilling holes in the bottom of the bubble diffuser box to allow water to drain downwards a little. Might work? I dunno?

After reading the instructions for the ss65 (which are as bad as they possibly could be written) I thought I had read the top of the cup should be 1/4" above the water level. If the bottom of the diffuser were to be 1/4" above, the water line would be visible. I was going to ask the same thing. I unhooked my powerheads yesterday and the skimmer went crazy. I found that you can't get rid of the bubbles, and they get swept away in the current of the powerheads. Is this bad?
