Coralife vs. Custom Sea Life PC replacement bulbs?

Are there other brands for 55W PC?
Can I use 65W for 55W set up?

Yes, you can use the 65w. At least I do. I like the corallife better I think. I do not like the 50/50s. The blue doesnt look actinic to me, but I am not sure what exactly the blue side of a 50/50 is.

I went from 55's to CSL 65's (4x65, 2 10K and 2 "ultra atinics") and couldn't be happier, at least until I fire up the 3x175 MH's on my new tank.

I use the ESU brand bulbs for my PC and they are very nice.

You know Kip..as a result of your Quest for True Actinic PC's...I put a 95watt VHO, URI Actinic on my 45 to augment the PC...next PC bulb will be straight 10k or somewhere around that.

I run 4x65 watt CSL 10k's...and for actinic I use 2x110 URI VHO's...there is no decent "actinic" pc lamps that I'm aware of. All of the actinic PC's I've seen have been nothing more than a blue tint...in my opinion. But I do prefer the CSL 10K lamps over any other brand I've seen.

OK, then...
Now, I have corals doing well with a combo of either a 10000 or a 6700 and a, let's say, 'blue light'. From all the posts and info that I have read, I understand that there is a true actinic and a blue light-which is a 7100K light I believe. When I have purchased the PC 'blue lights' they have said that they were actinic. I have seen a picture posted with the blue vs. purple light. It is hard to tell by looking at mine without a purple reference.
So, if I have digested everything correctly, nobody makes a true Actinic PC bulb. Is that correct? If so, then I need not bother hunting for one! I have read on web sites from CSL and Coralie(ESU I believe) that they have a true Actinic, so they say. I do not know of any other replacement bulbs for square pin to find info on Actinics.
If someone can point me in the direction of a true PC square pin 55 or 65W Actinic, I would be greatly appreciative.
One further question, If I do want to add VHO or NO true actinic, how much wattage would I need to make a difference. I am running 110W on 29G with 2 55W bulbs currently.

The 50/50 lights in my PC by coralife are purple. I compared them to other simular lights I have and they look very purple compared to the other ones.
