Eh lol there are better options for similar prices. I don't like marineland leds , but I would take them over coralife. Just my option tho

I just replaced my coralife t5 light. It really wasn't the greatest.

I'm no lighting expert though. I replaced my crummy light with a little bit less crummy light. Lol

There ok for coral. There are better leds out there. Kessil makes nice ones but your looking at $200 per light. For say a 4ft tank you would need 3-4. Most softies will do fine w a good led. Sps, thats a diff story. The cheap chinese leds as there called, have very high output. Good for most stuff, but they may last 6 months or 3 yrs you never know

You could do two kessils on a 4' tank. I have 2 160s on my 6 foot tank but the higher light corals are placed directly below them I will be getting 2 more eventually. They just reduced the price of the 150s to $160 at BRS the 160s are $240. You can grow softies and LPS probably not SPS.

I like the cheap Chinese led lights on amazon. So far so good with mine. The only problem I have with it is a slight rattle of the computer fan, which could be fixed but I'm lazy.

Amazon has them if you do a search for 165w full spectrum led aquarium light. I believe it's one that is right around $100, depending on the time of the year and the market.

If you have facebook, you can join the cheap Chinese blackbox page and there are many wonderful examples and pretty tanks to look at. Don't just take my advice.

I have a coralife that used for my freshwater tank, I have it on my saltwater tank at the moment although I will not continue use it once I get corals in my tank.

Hi,

Just my 2 cents... Stay away from anything Coralife. They went out of business, the equipment you get now was whatever was returned, refurbished or never sold, and it's all garbage. At one time it was a good brand, but not anymore. From lights to master control power strips... 100% garbage. Their skimmer is the worst one I ever owned.

If you want something to put light in the tank, the Coralife will do just that. Unfortunately, that's all it does. I have a $200 Reef Capable LED w/timer sitting on a shelf in a closet. It was a glaringly bright, white light that bleached my coralline algae covered rocks, and nothing would grow under it... except nuisance algae. It did, however, have pretty moon lights.

As flower so eloquently put it... it's all garbage.

No corals in mine yet, but brother has some with one fluval marine and reef 2.0 and it works great. The button is VERY finicky, but other than that, is a good light.
