Coraline Algae, how many colors

hi everyone, I have a question please.
I have lavender, I have medium purple and I have very dark purple Coraline algae on my rocks (50lb). Which color will cover all the rocks in the future?
The dark purple one is really nice, but it spreads so slow comparing to the other 2 colors.
All comments are greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Thats a good Question. I have nice purple all over and some red, but I think there are more colors but I am not the expert.
How long has your tank been running and what kind of rock do you have?

What about green? I have all the purples and a lot of different greens on my LV in my 3 mo old 90 gal. I feed Purple Up everyday. Test often for pH and Calcium.
It's amazing to see the growth and color changes on a daily basis.

I have some pretty dark purple on my rocks, but it spreads VERY slow as well. But stuff spreads all over my glass really fast.

my rocks got all shades of purple and green and orange and red when the box shipped to my house.
But now, I don't see the reds, the greens and the oranges anymore :(
But the purples are still there, and spreading slowly.
I've thought about using purple up, but I don't want to add anything in the water unless I have to like Calcium and a lil of buffer. I don't want to screw up the water as I read alot on here.
my tank is over a month old.

no, it will fade away when it hits your MH and turn to bone white. Mine did.
but if neon green, you will see hair algae in about a week.

Is it possible to get Mold on your rock or a color that looks like Mold. I am curing 60lbs of rock in a seperate tanks with it own light before I add it to my DT. I just ordered some Purple up it should be here friday.

there are many colors of coraline pink, purple, magenta, green, grey, tan, orange, red, and so on. pruple up is a waste of money, frequent waterchanges with a good salt mix, high turnover rate in your tank, proper calcium levels and time are about all it takes for coraline to grow. by the way phosphates inhibit coraline growth, so if you have phosphates your coraline is going to take longer to develop. purple up is just an expensive way to buy iodine and calcium.
