how much time do u guys spend each week scraping this crap off? my coraline growth is crazy. i spend lke 20 min every week just to control it a bit.

why dont you spend the 2 to 3 minutes a day cleaning your tank and then you wont have the build up andthe end of the week.

i hate putting my hand in the tank unless i hv to. i feel like i am contaminating or disturbing the tank even w my hands cleaned.

so why dont you use a magnavore?

what is that? i hv a mag float for regular algae. but the coraline algae is hard and sticks to the glass.

same thing. just clean your glass everyday and it should be fine.

i do it everyday, but the coraline algae still grows on the front glass.

Then you are not removing all of it. Coraline doesnt grow overnight and become noticable in one day and not even two. Use a Kent scraper (plastic if acrylic and metal blade if glass) and use it when it builds up. It is easy.
