Coraline Algea

Oh where oh where has all my purple algea gone? I look back at pictures and notice, I really don't have much coraline algea. It's a good algea because it keeps other bad algea off, but isn't it still an algea? So is not having it a bad thing?
I still have some red/purple etc. Just not much. It's been about a course of a year since I had this tank, just sitting here wondering.

It is an alage and I don't think it's a bad thing by not having it. Now if you had a lot once and now it is dieing off, I would try to figure out why.

I changed from a coralife super skimmer, to an AquaC, moved the tank, added more lights, about a year passed, corals grew, etc.

I believe corals can stunt the growth of the coralline algae. The reason is that many corals demand and use the the calcium that the coralline uses to grow.
