It is a type of algae that grows over rock/glass/hard surfaces (even snails/hermit shells!) and makes your reef look very beautiful. There are a few different colors of coralline growth.. to make a long story short though.. it is a GOOD type of algae that brings a lot of COLOR to your fish tank =c)

I find chromis also add a lot of color and make a reef look very beautiful. And yourself?
The key is keeping your calcium, alk and PH in sync with each other. Do a search for dosing Kalk to help maintain these levels. From what I have read, dosing additives sometimes helps but is by no means necessary, and often a wasteful expense.
