My tank has been up for 2 years and some change. All tests are good, just switched from (4) 96w PC's to (2) 150 MH and (2) 96 Attinic PC's... I dont have any coraline on glass or spreading to base rock. Any one use any additives to help this? Thanks

First off, if you are going to add anything to your tank you need to be testing for it also. There is a coralline algae enhancing suppliment called purple up. However, you need to test ur calcium, alkalinity, ph, etc... It says on the directions not to use if your cal is over 420? i think. I've had the same lr for 2-3 years now and are just starting to get coralline. used purple up once and i have more then what i started w/ on my rock but not on the back glass.

I have had my reef going for about 18 months. I have more coraline algae than I want. test your calcium levels. If they're low your probably not going to get any coraline growth. I have to scrape it off of the front glass weekly if not more often. The back glass has been completely covered for quite a while now. Just test your parimeters, calcium and alk, and PH.
