I am trying to get my coraline to spread and was wondering if it grows faster under low or intense lighting. My water is good.
Nitrite 0.0
Amon. 0.0
phos. 0.1
nitrates 0.0
cal. 400
mag. 1250
str. 30
ph 8.4
sal.1.025
all ppm.
And I have started dosing Coral vital. It seems that the green coraline spreads fast and I run 6x110 watt VHO URI bulbs on my 75 gal. tank. I can turn off two of my bulbs if I need to. And the bulbs are 3 actinic 03's and 3 actinic/white bulbs. Am I just going to have to wait awhile or should I lower the lighting. Or any other advice. I am looking for the purple , pink and orange I have to spread. I also should tell you I dose kalk, mag. stro. ,trace , and amino w/ vitimins. All seachem products. And one more thing I run my protien skimmer 24/7 should I turn it off for awhile so I don't skim the coraline spores, or is that even poss.?

Keep up the alk and cal. Chip some pinks and purples off and spread it around a bit, or aim a PH at it. It takes awhile to get it going but once it does it spreads quickly.

id say.. i just moved my 2.5 and was shocked to see that now that i decied to break down the nano.. there was some pink coraline on the glass and a ton of pink and purple in the filter.. and it had low light, low flow, and i never dosed a thing to the tank.. and only did one water change(i know, i know) the whole time it was set up. i woulda never thought it would grow in that tank.. but it seems that it will eventually spread just given time.
