Coraline Question

I am starting a new tank and just entering the cycling process. If I have LR with a lot of coraline on it from my existing tank and was wondering if I put it into my new tank, will it die off? I don't want to ruin it so I am asking before I do it.

i wouldent worry about killing off coraline durring the cycle, as long as u dont let amonia get really high

You might have some die off on the LR but given time the coralline will come back.
LR can change color during cycling ( turn whitish ) but it always comes back

It won't die off. I bought most of my rock from local hobbist with coraline on it, and now the tank is taking off with it a month later.

Same situation for me, started a new tank, but great looking live rock from LFS with tons of coraline. Still as purple today as it was when we pulled it out of there tank.
