Iv been having a few probs with my tank as of late.
My Coraline is starting to turn whiteish.. or have little white spots on it..
Any ideas whats causing this?
My rocks also have alot of green fuzzy looking algae on them? I dont think its green hair algae.

Hmm... Did you see any white furry mini starfish if so it could be them whats feeding off of your coralline.

Alk VERY high! like 9.5 meq
Calcium HIGH over 500 either 500 or 550
Iv been having to add PH buffer to keep my PH above 7.8.. it actually got down to 7.4 late last week.d

coraline turns white when it is dying. i had some coraline on my glass that turned light pink, then white, then algea grew over it because it was dead. so i scraped it off. but i think if i remember correctly the problem was with my alkilinity or ph. not sure but wither way i know it was that one of my levels was off.

Normaly alk drops and coraline dies back. It also needs calcium, so I bet when that drops it will turn white too.
Not sure if PH will cause a drop, I suppose it could.
I saw the ? rainbow asked, is the coraline out of the water during WC's? That will do it to if it dries out. To avoid that just splash it with water every couple minutes. (just don't go crazy)
