I've got nice purple coraline progating all over my glass so fast I can hardly keep up w/ scraping it off, but none of it is getting on the rocks they look like barren base rocks now. Any reasons for this?
It gets on the crushed coral because it has a larger surface area. Corralline will grow in the sand to a smaller extent, but only on the larger pieces.
Where are your power heads pointed. It will grow in medium flow generally. I'm pretty sure it won't grow in high flow areas but indirect medium flow areas it seems to take off in from what im experiencing. I guess keep scraping it. I would let it grow on the areas you don't look through anyways. Other than that the flecks you scrape will eventually root on the rock and take hold. Give it time. The rocks i see in my 20 were completely covered in corallineabout 3 weeks after i got my power heads in.
