i just got a coralife super skimmer 125. had to set it up hob cause it was too tall to put under the tank hooked up in the sump. anyway, the return produces tons of bubbles. does any body have any experience with this skimmer and possibly a remedy or poss mod for the problem?

Let it run for a day or two non stop.....Once it breaks in the bubbles should slow down somewhat......If u still have too many in a few days try adjusting the overflow cup in the tank. It can be adjusted to go higher or lower in the tank by the plastic mount it hooks up to the tank with. Also, did u put the filter floss and foam filter in the overflow??? Most of the adjustments are made there to make things run more smoothly......Very tempermental skimmer bet works well once u figure it out.
Let me know how u make out.....I have one more suggestion but lets see if this works first.
Good luck!!!

My coralife came with a sponge thing that goes in the tank over the return pipe. Or at least that's what I think it's for. I don't use it, but I believe it's to reduce bubbles from a very bubbly skimmer.

I have this skimmer and i've had it for about a year or so and i really don't like it all that much if it's not filling my tank with bubbles and i mean to the point where it looks like smoke, it will flood my living room, or not do anything at all except use electricity. I wish I would've just spent $100 more I could've had a good quality skimmer. But thats just me though i've heard really good things about it hopefully you will have better luck than me with it.
