Corallife Super Skimmer ?

I am having problems with my skimmer. The water level seems to fluctuate. Could this be because I had it off for a few days and it is breaking in again or have I done something wrong. I set it up the way it was before I turned it off and it was working fine then. I hope that it just need to be broke in again. Any advice would be great.

How long was it turned off for? If it was a long period of time, it may need to be broken in again.
