coralline algae on glass

I need some opinions on if I should leave the pink algae on the back glass or if I should scrape it off and try and keep it clean. The pink is kinda taking over my tank. Any ideas on how to slow it down or should I just let all my rock turn pink?

How do I make the picture show up rather than a link?

Why do you want to scrape it off? I think it looks good on the back of the tank. better than clear glass or a black background. It is a sign that your water paramaters are good too! It won't hurt anything.

It just depends on whether you like the look or not. You want coraline to be growing, but you don't need it to be all over your back glass.

I started scraping it off the back and it was pretty tough. I think I will leave it on the back and just keep it off the sides and front.

Were you using a razor? It comes off real easy that way.

yeah you got to use a razor to get it off the glass. a mag float wont work. i personally dont like it on the glass but its a matter of personal opinion

Use the attach option.

Just be careful using a razor. I used a credit card and it worked pretty good. No scrathes, but it did take a little elbow grease.

a flat razor (window scraper) wont scrape galss as long as you dont use the corner only of the blade- it is the best tool
