coralline growing?

OKay, so I've been running salt water tanks for a long time..
Basically i've only done fowlr, my problem has always been that i've never been able to accumulate any coralline.
I'm wondering if anyone here can help me on this subject? How can i get it to "grow" in my tank?
Is there a certain phosphate remover i can use? I recently purchased purple up, but i'm hesitant to use it.
Any help is appreciated!!

R u seeding with live rock that already has coraline growing? Do u test calcium levels?

I'm very interested in this as well. If you start with just dry base rock and some sort of bio-filtration to make it eventually live, will the base rock eventually get coralline?

Probably not. You will probably need to introduce coraline. You can purchase it in tubes or introduce some rock that already has coraline growth.

A great method is to take a peice that has Coraline on it and scrape it witha razor blade in front of a power head. Should see results within weeks.
