I've been itching to see the coralline growth all of your guys and gals tanks. So, anyone that can, could you please post pics of the coralline that has grown IN your tank, meaning since you got the LR and all. I really want to see how much success everyone's had growing their coralline. Thanks a million.

Don't you guys clean your tanks? Should my tank look like yours do? To me that looks kinda ugly.

I have the same exact question! I have tons of green/brown encusting algae that grows in similar patterns as my corraline. I too was wondering if this is another form of corralline. It grows much quicker than the pink and purple varities. I have some maroon's that grow pretty quick though.

There are lots of colors of coraline....I don't think any are all that "beneficial" aside from looking nice. If you don't like the look, then clean the glass......easy. Some people LIKE hair algae, and I tell them to leave it if they like it......clean it off if you don't......simple.

Sammy, I thought that coralline helped corals in attaching to the rock, like when they grow and spread, it makes it easier or something like that. I can't exactly word it right, but my LFS owner said something to that extent, a long time ago when I asked him what coralline algae was.
