I have two questions that maybe some of you have the answer to. First of all I have some kind of corraline (I think) algae or some other thing that grows in whittish yellow to light green spots on the walls of my tank. I believe that it's a healthy sign that the stuff is growing good, but it is really hard to clean off of the acrylic fron of my tank! So any ideas on a good way to clean it off or to slow it down or something would be GREAT! Right now I use a metal spatula with rounded edges (so I don't scratch the acrylic) and scrap it off once a week (and no I don't use this spatula for cooking or anything else... strictly fish tank use and dried off afterwards every time!)
Question 2 is a problem (i think) that I have had for about 9 months (ever since I set uf my refugium) I have a whole bunch of kinds of macro algae in the fuge that grw nicely and help my water quality and all that, but they are constantly covered with bubbles, and I mean a lot of bubbles. The water coming into the fuge has a few bubbles in it because my pump sucks a little air sometimes, but I have the water going through filter media into a plastic cup with little holes to get rid of most of those bubbles. But I think that the macros are just producing the bubbles, which should be a good thing, but the bubbles seem to slow the growth of my CHAETOMORPHA and kill some of my beautiful Caulerpa paspaliodes.
So if anyone can help me out at all with these things please! it would be GREAT!
