How long does it usually take to see some coralline on live rock? Ive been cycling for 2 weeks with 50lbs which has some color and the new 20lbs i bought already had some color on it. Just curious how long it will take for the rocks to get covered.

Do you have zero corraline or you are just hoping to increase the amount you have?
I tried a suggestion posted on another thread here and have already seen some increase in my corraline. Get a brand new soft bristle toothbrush and gently brush the existing corraline. It will release spores into the water that should help to spread it. This won't happen overnight, but should help it to go faster.
Good luck with the new tank!

All it "needs" is calcium, alkalinity, magnesium & light. I have found it grows best under medium lighting. What you do not need is phosphates. Phosphates will slow the growth of the coralline.
Many people report good growth when using Kalkwasser... but I would avoid any miracle in the bottle products. Keep it simple and be patient...
