I have a 26 gal. tank with 2 clowns and a lemonpeel angel. I'm wanting to create a reef tank but, i have created a list of corals and anemones that i like but i'm not sure whether or not thier a good pick for my tank or not:notsure:
Reef List:
Mushroom Polyp - Ricordea
Star Polyps
Zoos
Blue/Green Carpets Anemone
Yellow Fiji Leather Coral
Florida Condi Anemone
Green Striped Mushroom Coral
Are thier books i could buy?
Any and all suggestions needed.
Thanks

dont put 2 different anemones in 1 tank, they will fight. what kind of lights do u have, also, do u know carpet anemones can pack a harmfull sting?

Everything looks pretty good except the Carpet Anemone. In a 26 gal you will run out of room in a hurry. The carpet would fill half the tank in no time and grow from there! Just make sure you have enough quality light for the corals you are looking at. Good luck!

do you think that i would be better off with the Florida Condi Anemone--i would really like something that is flowwing with a nice look and a somewhat long tentical.

it should be fine. IMO i would get MH lights to keep an anemone that will thrive and split

wocka -- if you had to recommend a good MH light that wasn't an arm and a leg what would it be?
will an MH heat my tank up though?

I've had lemonpeels pick at a lot of corals and even kill and shred a long-tentacle anemone. As pretty as they are, they might not do well in a reef setting. As with any angel, some do OK, others do not.

I might also point out that the condy anemone is not a natural host for clownfish.
