Corals for reef newbs

Does anyone have some suggestions on what corals are hardy yet a sight for eyes??? Made the mistake of trying to buy a flower pot coral first off.......lesson learned . Starting a reef for the first time, always been interested. Got about 60lbs live rock prepped and ready to go with a blue hippo, royal gramma and 3 fiesty blue chromis. I'll get some pics on in the next couple days, thanks

What kind of lights do you have? I did the flowerpot thing too--what a shame. Mushrooms and colts are pretty foolproof. Get a good book on corals, it made my life easier.

I just have a couple of strip fluorescents. Seem to light it up pretty nice. Making myself some MH's though for christmas hehe:happy:

you're gonna wanna wait till you get new lighting before you put any corals in there. you can't really keep anything with what you have right now
