my Frogspawn has grown enormously the past 2 years and is now beginning to touch my massive toadstool. Will they be able to overlap???? worries me as they are both 2 years established and very difficult to move?? All input would help me greatly!!!

IMO the frogspawn is probably going to sting the heck out of the toadstool. the toadstool will probably attempt to shift itself out of reach of the Frogspawns range while dumping toxins into the water to combat the damage. I dont know who will win.

the toad seems to have pretty good control of his formations. Will he stay away from the frog??? he's done it in the past when getting close??

IME leathers tend to move away from irritating things. a 15" leather has a good chance of just shaping itself away from the frogspawn. I'm curious as to how this will go in the long run. ***)

I once set my Frogspawn to close to the Candy Cane and just one whip, 1 polyp on my C.Candy shrunk down up until now, and it's been 3 weeks. That polyp is still not recovering.
Frogspawns are very expandable. Your Toadstool might get in trouble.

not as far as i know. When i got him there was a small colony of zoo's below him but his size bocked the vho light and they went to the grave. U think he's smart enough to keep his distance from the frog??

thats my worry, he did the same w/ my candy as well. Im just wonder since the frogs can control where they flow as much as a toad can.. will they stay away or fight to the death?? Im sure i'll prob have to move him somehow

I would go ahead and move the toadstool. No sense it taking a chance with a nice specimen like that one. The frogspawn will defintely win the fight though, if you leave them together.

I was afraid that would happen. So in the future would the rule of thumb be???... Hard corals will beat the crap out of softies. Just lookin for future placements?? thanx joncat... go reds!!

so i lost the whole left half of my tank and then some from neglect due to boat season last year. I guess i will move the toad over there. My question is... I have a bunch of scattered shrooms and a few random yellow polyps that have made it through the neglect last summer, will they burn the toad as well??
