Corals that need the most Calcium

Hi there!!!
Here is one that I can not find an answer on Google!!!
Which are the Corals (Any Type) that demands the most Calcium??
My only answer are Clams. ¿?

You can't find an answer because there really are a few that can be considered correct.
Growing corals such up more Ca. Larger colonies are going to soak up more than small frags, even of the same species of coral. As a general rule, I'd say most SPS corals soak up more Ca than others.

Why do you care? It is not very hard to keep Calcium at 420ppm. Till you have a full tank you will not max out your auto top off.

My concer is because I have excesive calcium (above 550) and I was thinking on getting some corals that could lower that level of calcium.
I am doing calcium reactor and also kalk
Anyway, someone told me that it was because I really don't have corals that need lots of calcium, and there is where I started my question.
Which are the corals that demand more calcium?

That really isn't the solution to lowering your calcium.
If you have a Ca reactor AND you're running kalk, you're overpowering your system and IMO, don't have your Ca reactor dialed in properly. Your Ca reactor should not be pushing out that much Ca, regardless of how many Ca demanding corals are in your tank.
Just out of curiosity, if you don't have corals that need it right now, why are you running a Ca reactor and kalk? There is also no reason to be doing both.

Many of the Leather Corals like Toadstools can really suck down Calcium fast. Next would probably be the Euphyllias like Candycane or Frogspawn.

The answer is as simple as many of you could guess; Ignorance.
When I start buying the first Corals, people start saying that I need a Calc Reactor to mantain Ca around 450ppm. and I follow those comments. Which it work at first but then I start using H2Ocean salt, and it increased my Ca too much. I still have 3 buckets to use.
So I thought on having some Corals that demand Ca. and that way I could balance my Ca.

If you have clean water and decent lighting, get some SPS corals. SPS prefer a lot of calcium in the water column and will readily use calcium and alkalinity as they grow to form their skeletons. larger colonies of course use more calcium and alkalinity than smaller colonies.

Another good point Snake. If you have a lot of skeleton building corals you will need to keep a close eye on Alkalinity.

what is your alkalinity and Magnesium levels?
I have been told that with a too low alkalinity and Mg corals are prevented of taking up Calcium thus the high levels of calcium in your tank maybe?
So it doesnt really matter then what corals you put as they wont be able to absorb any calcium anyway?
or did I get that wrong?

many soft corals that use sclerites in their structure tend to suck up calcium fast since they grow quickly and use the calcium in the sclerites for tissue support, such as Sarcophytons, sinularia and some LPS that grow quick will also tend to suck up a lot of calcium like large colonies of frogspawn candy cane hammers etc.
