PAR value of the lighting can cause issues. The only problem I have with that in this case is the clam and LTA look amazing and they need more intense lighting than the hammer or flowerpot corals. It would seem if it was a lighting issue they would be showing signs as well.%% Unless of course these are older pictures than the ones of the bleached corals?

Cheap MH bulbs??? I don't think they exist, LOL Mine run me around $70.00 each. I only use 2 175 14K bulbs for my 90g, but I have to order on line, no stores around here carry them.
Your tank is so beautiful... I would borrow the money if I had to before letting such a sweet tank go without the right lights to keep it going.
Even replacing one bulb is better than none at all.
Flower; is 2 175watt bulbs good for your 90gal tank. Its sound like you need more lighting?

2 X 250 are way too much, they would cook everything, and 2 X 150 are way too low...2 X 175 are just right! I had 10K and went to 14K...I like the bluer hue.
I have any type of coral I want. I have to start new coral a little low in the tank and bring them to the top slowly. My 90g is only 48 inches accross, so no longer than a 55g but deeper and wider.
I got retro fit lighting for the canopy...so removing the top is a bit of a pain, but I keep my tank in the living room and watch it while sitting down...without the canopy my eyes would sting from the bright lights.

Thank you for the web site, very good info.
Here is a picture of my tank, and the full view is one before I put new cral in, I had just gotten the new lights. I have lots of different corals and I also have caves for those corals that don't care for light.
I like the 175 because I can put those corals that don't want that much intensity lower and those that really like to cook, higher...with a 250...even the bottom of the tank would be well lit as well as everything around it. (friends have this problem) LOL
150 wouldn't penetrate deep enough at all. So the 175 is just right for me. I love the bigger tanks, but I can't go scubba diving to work on it, so the 90g works good for me, At 48 inches it is easy to have in the living room without taking up too much space as well.

Is MH light all you got or do you use other in your tank also like moon lights?
