Corner bowfront canopy build.

3/4 inch ply wood. I traced the outline of the tank on cardboard, then went in an inch all along the bow, then just traced it onto the wood and cut out.
The sides and braces are 1 x 2.
Be careful attaching the front to the sides, the screws I used started to split the wood, even with a predrilled hole. I had to get metal braces.

ok, got the sides on and added a top brace , but had to rethink the front. We tried with thin board, but the nails kept pulling. We went back to lowes and found some plank paneling that is tonge and grove. I cut one up and laid it out and this is going to work perfect. I will add a nice thin trim piece to the top and bottom to cover the edges

rest of front on. I lack one piece about 2 inch on front. Have to get that cut and the top. Then I can paint the inside and stain the out.

that really good. those tongue and groove boards add a nice look to it vs. just a plain plywood front... added bonus.

yah, though it would be nice, I needed to go the easy route. I have the trim work started, paint for the inside bought, and stain. Just need to cut the top, install the piano hing and install lights. Getting there.

That looks awesome TheresaQ. Please keep us updated with the top and paint/staining. I will start mine this weekend, I'll wait till you finish.

Ok, I am done. It looks really nice but dosent match the stand now. I am going to resurface it with the same boards so it will match.
